Where Does the Time Go?
It is hard to believe that seven months have past since my last post. I'm still on the road for my husband's "temporary consulting" position at eBay. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 marks one year of traveling to San Jose and living in hotels. San Jose, CA is 380+ miles north of our home. It has been a challenge to say the least. I will be extremely grateful for when we are home permanently.
We did get a little break from San Jose when we travelled to Texas for one week in November for Formula 1 at Circuit of The Americas. We stayed in Austin and visited The Alamo in San Antonio. I will post about this trip in a few days.
Also in November, I decided to enroll my son in an Independent Study (IS) Program at Oxford Preparatory Academy. OPA offers three levels. My son is in 6th grade (IS) Level 1, it allows him to attend up to 3 workshops a week, however, it is not mandatory. It has been over 6 months and he has not attended any workshops yet. I hope that he will have an opportunity to attend one before the end of the school year. If not, I plan on him attending at least one workshop a week when we return home permanently. Most likely it will be the following school year (7th grade) before he will be in town to attend a workshop. I like that this program exposes him to a home and school environment; it works well with our life style.
Hopefully with school ending soon and summer right around the corner, I will have more time to keep my blog updated :)
